You can download some nice articles about violins and violin making by Roger Hargrave for free, such as "Some Things you Should Know Before Purchasing a Cremonese Violin", as well as some other very good stuff, here:

In general I find that most players have a scarce knowledge about violins and violin making, so this is certainly a good reading. The technical articles about Del Gesù's building methods is the same one in Biddulph's book, that costs a mint. I hope you will enjoy it!!! Ciao!
