Dishes for a tip!?

February 3, 2008 at 6:41 AM

As many of you might not know I work at the Commissary bagging groceries. Today at work I bagged for this lady who had dishes in a box in her car trunk. She took them out and told me to load up the back.
Then she peaked her head around the side of her car and said: "Do you need some dishes?"
"No? Why?" I replied
"My daughter moved out and I though that if you wanted them I wouldn't have to give them to a thrift store."
I laughed.
She then gave me $5 for my work. (Which I might add was quite generous.)
Many people told me I should have kept the dishes. But I knew my mom would disapprove.
Anyways I had to share this funny story.
