New Piano Scale Training

January 24, 2008 at 4:16 AM

Since I have completed ever major scale, my piano teacher has me doing these cool scale exercises.
Here's the exercise just in case any piano players want to try it.
1. Set the metronome to 60bpm 4/4 time
2. Play one octave C scale in quarter notes. (When you get to the top make sure that you play the C again.)
3. Play two octave C scale in eighth notes. (When you get to the top make sure that you play the C again as a quarter note.)
4. Play three octave C scale in triplets. (When you get to the top make sure that you play the C again as a quarter note[I think].)
5. Play four octave C scale in 16th notes. (When you get to the top make sure that you play the C again as a quarter note [I think].)

If you play these correctly it will even out.

I want a grand piano if you would like to donate please e-mail me. Only joking, kind of.

Ugh. How boring. The least you could do is play it in Dflat major or something more challenging.

Well if you can't play it in C it's not worth it to play it in any other key.
C is similar in fingering to: G, D, A, and E
And Db is easier than C to play in.
