Strads and Cheap violis.

Did Stradivarious (SPELLING?) ever sign his violins in any way? Just wondering.
I had a friend telling me about a show that used to be on PBS about colonial America. He was mad because one of the kids on there wasd playing a violin but it had an ebony fingerboard, pegs, and chin rest. He was ranting because he said that the violin was created in the 16th Century. Blah blah blah. He just kept talking and talking. It was really annoying.

I read (I Think on v.com) that strads were typically signed near (or under) the bass bar. And it says "antonio was here" in Italian.

Not to positive If I remember that correctly though.
