I'm at a really big hill. It seems that I can't progress any farther without a better violin.

This is a hard one. I know how frustrating it can be to practice on a less than desireable instrument. A fine violin does not come cheaply.... The only way I was able to afford mine was by taking out a loan when I was in school and buying from a teacher who allowed me to make payments monthly. I was lucky. Having graduated, I don't know that I could afford it now!

Is there anywhere you could do a trade-in, and then make payments without much interest?

Good luck.

I Wouldn't mind a new instrument either. But I don't think I could ever part with mine now. After having almost 7 years of history together, making my Smith Opera house, Ithaca State theater among other debuts with it. I think even when I do get a better one I will keep this one. And maybe once and a while take it out for a concert or too.. I know I am too sentimnental lol.
