What happens if you fumigate your Violin ?

April 10, 2014 00:27

Fumigating your Violin is not something to try without serious consideration of the consequences !

There was the Dingue Fever some kilometres away from my place. So, I decided to fumigate my room with a Mosquito Coil. My Violin remained on the bed. After 2 days, I played and had the impression that the sound has greatly improved. I tried another experiment with my second Violin, I again experienced that happy surprise of a greatly improved sound. Better playability, too.

Maybe some Luthiers could comment here, please.
