I try to imagine how I  I would say things to other posters if we were on the Opra Winfrey show . That keeps it all civilised.

I began playing in 1953.  Taught myself violin making from the Heron Allen book. Made 6 violins. Play mostly Bach Sonatas and Partitas . Learning the piano and also learning how pianos work . Just basically incredibly nosey about technical details .

Designed and patented a novel shoulder rest . It`s better than the standard models and also better than no rest at all . Encourages good relaxed posture with minimal neck tension .

See my topic about Wolf Notes on my violin . It`s true!
