I have been studying Mozart's violin concertos and Bach's solo violin works for years and I am praying for something new. The problem is, I still have yet to get a distinct style for playing Bach or especially Mozart. Bach, I find, is very expresive, making it easier to phrase. Mozart, however, is a little more complicated and, if not played correctly, can sound horrible and boring. Any technical tips on maybe bow pressure or something to that sort? How do you choose to play your Mozart?
Greetings,
I notice in your bio you say you started late at 8. That`s not late ;)
Cheers,
Buri
PS Study the Mozart operas. a big clue lies within their characters and relationships
Thanks, they really gave some insight. 8 is late compared to the kids I'm competing against, sadly.
