Things are getting better as far as the tremors in my bow arm are concerned, although they're still not great. But thanks to my teacher I am able to control it better than before.
I was supposed to start a new treatment for my MS, but my doctor has had second thoughts because of an infection called PML. Three years ago two people died and a third was left disabled because of this brain infection after being on this new treatment. Since then there hadn't been any more problems until recently, when two more people became ill. So far they're doing ok, but my doctor is not comfortable starting any other patients on this treament. I do still have other options, but I was really hoping to be able to start this because it sounds promising, and the old treatment is no longer doing the job.
I really want to keep playing. This coming at a time when I'm making real progress on the violin is so frustrating.

Laurie, I am so sorry that you are having such problems. The symptoms you described would be difficult for anyone to tolerate, but they are difficult in a special way for violinists. Our violins are extensions of ourselves. I'm glad that you have a teacher who is willing to work with you and who has helped you make progress in your playing. I will keep you in my thoughts as I send healing energy your way.
Thanks, Pauline. All the healing thoughts and prayers I get are greatly appreciated. :)
Laurie
