Well, how about today.......The Damnation of Faust---Berlioz  [sp?]    on live from the Met...........Did anyone listen ?      Great  opera--even though in french----  Italians usually get to me, BUT oft the French enter to make it all a wee more exciting   !!!!

Do you prefer French or Italien opera ?

I don't care about the language at all but it has to be nice to listen to even if I must admit that in general, opera is not what I prefer!

It depends on the type of opera I'm in the mood for. Like the Daughter of the Regiment is a great French opera I truly love. But then there are the Mozart Italian operas one would be crazy to not go and see when opportunity arises. I do prefer Italian (ever so slightly) over French operas, however.
