Ok, that's it! I'm not letting them screw me up again. I quit! Oh well, that's how it's going at work. Here's how it has been in the last 2 years:"Perhaps it's a little too soon, we'll definately promote you in 6 months time".
6 months later...
"You've been doing a good job and we are glad you stayed with the firm. But perhaps another 6 month will really shape you up for promotion."
Another 6 months later...
"You've done all we asked of you, good job. But you were not given the opportunity to lead a team so far. These opportunities will come in the next 6 month and you'll be able to prove youself. So promotion will be promising then."
Talking about being screwed, it happened to me 3 times now. My letter is ready. All it needs is my signature on it. Monday I'm walking into the office with it in a big white envelop. It will be a pleasant moment to win my dignity back...for 10 minutes. Then I'll spend the rest of the month worrying about if I can get another job!
Oh well, I've survived this before and I will be fine. On the bright side, at least I will have lots of time to practice my scales :-)
My teacher was very pleased with my playing today. She said she was glad see that I am back to my good old self. So my practice has paid off.
The concert will be held next Saturday night. Today I played better than ever before during the rehearsal. I played the music as if I was a soloist. Those who read my previous blog would remember I get chucked at the very back of the violin section because the lead got threathen. Well, I was definitely leading today. Just that I was leading from the back :-)
Ok, time to get back to reality... now where's that website where people go look for jobs...
BTW, why don't you apply in Austria? there are also beans to count here :)
(and violin teachers)
Why are there two of you? :-)
Two of Me
I tried to login one day and just couldn't. I thought I was being kicked out of v.com. So I registered again. So now there's 2 of me.
Regards
Michael.
