Frustrations in contemporary concertos...
November 5, 2011 13:24I'm currently working on the Barber violin concerto, and I got to two measures before rehearsal 8, and I got stuck. How to finger those triplets?! There are two sets of triplets, and they jump to all four strings, and there's really no effective way to finger them so as to avoid nasty string crossings. How inconvenient.
