Scott 68

I encountered my first 10th, the 3rd measure of the Bach G min Adagio. The Hermann edition printed a Eb and 3rd octave G on the top as a double stop. Now if you play Eb on the D string and G on the A string that is a wicked stretch but Im used to it because Ive been playing guitar so long. The Bach is going well and its so fun to just play after you memorized all the notes.

Recently I was practicing scales and improvsing some when I stumbeld on to the melody of the slow movement of the Tchaikovsky Concerto, what a gorgeous melody!

Also have been re-adjusting my bow hold as per Simon Fisher's book "Basics", it has helped immensely to practice his lessons.

Also have been learning some guitar stuff, mainly a piece by Ralph Towner called "The Sigh" and Bach Gavotte 1 and 2.

Until next time,
Scott (muggle violininst)
