Youtube Wedding

So, it's been said on this website before, but I now know what it means to have the music overrule the technique involved in playing the violin.  I was hired to play a wedding by myself and the bride-to-be wanted a video of me playing some of the things from ceremony.

I made the video tonight, but it seriously took me 8 or 9 takes to get the final one.  Something would always go wrong in one of the three pieces, so I'd have to start over again!   This is the one I sent here and at about the 1:09 mark, I "stutter" for a split second.  So basically, "Jesu" wasn't as fluid as it should be, but I was not about to record again for the 10th time.  (also, my f# at about 1:20 is a little sketchy)

I got an email back from the client, and basically, she didn't care that I wasn't 1000% happy with my performance.  She even cried and called my playing effortless and said her fiance's jaw dropped.

It's always about the music and who's listening to you.
