i saw "Togther" today. its about a chinese violin prodigy in China learning about music and the ups and downs of being so talnted. my god this kid can really play(and he really did play too) the pianist was such a bad movie. im sorry, i didnt like it at all. how many times can u play the same chopin nocturne? it was focused around the holocaust. after, we went to juilliard to pick up some t-shirts and juilliard stuff, but the bookstore is closed until july 1st. i also went to tower records and got salerno-sonnenberg's Sibelius and Shosti String Quartets. nadja's sibelius was very good. she distorts some stuff rhythmically and the 1st mvt. is a bit too long, but i love her playing! i dont care what anyone say, shes good. so, i figured out to help my rhythm betteri have to trust my internal pulse. its there, i just ignore it. hahah. i also realized scales help a LOT in counting internally too. so now m gonna do them in various rhythms and such. well i gotta go. later :)
