i recently heard Maxim Vengerov's recording of the Walton Viola Concerto..it had to be one of the worst recording of the piece i ever heard(the worst is of course, yuri bashmet). Vengerov's tone was raspy and decreped. his technique of the viola was quite bad, i just think hes amazing at violin. but his viola playing is AWFUL!!!! ugh, it was bad....im really getting into szigeti.
