Where to start...

On Saturday, the HS orchestra played at the school fair. Its this horrid performance the school makes us do every year. I mean it wouldn't be so bad, except the mall, where we play, was never designed to be a performance space, the acoustics are impossible!!!!!!!!!! You cant hear anything...

The winter high school concert was Monday night, and aside from a bit of high school drama, it was pretty ok.

The college Mozart festival is in 2 weeks, the music is sounding ok, but its going to be a really long concert (I think about 2 1/2+ hours plus intermission...) Between the band and orchestra (I in both, so no rest for me...) we are playing:
Requiem
Magic Flute Overture
Le Nozze Di Figaro Overture
Turkish Finale
Symphony 1 (1st mvmt)
Symphony 26 (1st mvmt)
Symphony 35 (1st mvmt)
Symphony 40 (selections)
Symphony 41 (1st mvmt)
there are at least 2 pieces that I'm forgetting...

Now on to my most exciting news, my parents told me that I'm getting a new violin and bow for my birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
