I just heard a really great recording of... ummmm... see, that's the problem with radio... It was a piece I recognized for violin and piano (that narrows down the options...) Sigh... it actually sounded like a piece that would have been fun to learn.

Anyway, my lesson today was cancelled because my 6-year-old foster sister was visiting from school (she attends a boarding school 5 hours away). She is the greatest little kid, so it was worth it.

Beethoven's 5th is starting to come together. Its really fun to play. I think I like playing in an orchestra more than solo.

The highschool is, as always, great fun. Except for the fact that it is FREEZING in the rehearsal room............. My teacher gave me the latest project for the music library. I'm going through each full/string orch score the school has, and seeing if it is on the big festival list. I think it will be a really fun project, cause now I get to see exactly what scores we have... Like the Bach Organ Preludes and Fugues for string orchestra (maybe I could talk the conductor into letting us play those...).

Well, I guess thats all for tonight.
