Yesterday, I played in a recital called "Musicians in the Making." It was ok......................... I was playing Kresiler's Tempo di Minuetto, and if you know that piece, you should remember the nice open D's that come up on a regular basis. Well, less then a measure into the piece, the D peg slipped................................................................... So, that was interesting... oh sigh...

Also, we were supposed to fill out these surveys so that they could better announce us. Well, one of the questions asked what pets you have. And, I have (in addition to other pets) two sugar gliders. And they lady who was introducing me was going on about how she had never heard of gliders before, and how she looked them up on google and discovered that they are adorable marsupials. Then she suggested to anyone in the audience who hadn't heard of gliders to look them up when they got home... yeah, I thought that was amusing...

I don't think I have much else exciting to write...

I never respond to those surveys seriously, which came as a surprise the first time when I had no idea what the survey would be used for. It was amusing to hear my teacher announce that I want to be a security guard at a mental hospital when I grew up.

yeah, funny thing was that she knew me well enough to know I wasn't going to take it seriously and added questions to my survey like: "how often do you send your flying monkeys to attack your math teacher?" and "are you or were you ever Canadian, George Bush, ect?"

So were you able to tune up the D string while playing or how did you work around it? Or did you?

Ummmmmm...... well.................... I resorted to sliding into notes, and brushing over the open Ds...... maybe not the best responce, but it wasn't too bad...
