OK enough with that, but yesterday, I was trying a new teacher. And don't get me wrong, I'll be the first to admit, I have a hard time with teachers (I went through about 5 flute teachers in about 9 months a few years ago). But the 15 minutes I spent with this teacher were terrible, I came out of there never wanting to play violin again. She basicly spent the entire time saying that I couldn't play the violin, and the past four years that I have played the violin had been a waste of my time. She wouldn't even say what I was doing wrong, just tat everything was bad, and if I took lessons with her we would be spending 6 months - 1 year redoing Suzuki Book 1. Now I can understand reviwing my old music to pick up all the stuff I missed (my falt, I spent nearly 3 years trying to learn "classical violin" from a "fiddle" teacher) but that seems a little extreme, especially considering the music I play out side class.
Oh sigh, I think that is enough complaining for now, I just hope I find a teacher that I can wouk with, some time soon.
On a more plesent note, in orchestra, we were sitereading Christmas music for our next concert, and the arranger seemed to think that when ever there was a repeat, he (or she) should just send the firsts up another octave. So we were trying, without much sucess, to follow along while playing in 3rd, 4th, and 5th positions. Hard, but fun!
