Xheus Evolution

February 2, 2009 at 4:41 PM

So, after 8 months, I am finally learning how to post pictures on v.com.  As many of you know, my rottweiler died in 2007, and we brought home a new baby boy in May 2008.   He is a beautiful healthy boy.  It's too bad that rottweilers have such a poor reputation, exploited by owners who use their power for bad purposes.  And sadly, this type of dog is not for the lazy and/or ignorant person either.   Rottweilers are intelligent and hardworking creatures.  They need owners who are willing to take the lead and exert all their energy in a positive way.   You should not get a rottweiler if you are planning on giving him or her tons of time and attention.  Rottweilers are good for people who have a farm because they are herding dogs.

Xheus is German Rottweiler.  It's illegal to dock their tails in Europe.

8 weeks old, the ugly period.

A giant at 3 months.

He's not allowed upstairs.  He tests my mom all the time at 5 months old.

7 months old he could fit a head in that mouth.

At 10 months old, he is a majestic creature with his black and brown coat set apart from the cold, white day.

Rottweilers are great and rewarding animals to nurture.  Before getting one, make sure you can give it the proper environment and the stimulation it needs.   My rottweiler loves, people and children.  He is also great around female dogs ;0)

He weighs a whopping 103 pounds! He is still growing for the next 2 years.  We predict he'll be 150 pds.

Sorry, for my enthousiast, I love animals and am so happy to see that other people too! He is magnificient!   I totally agree that too many dogs are misjuged because they have bad owners that make them do stupid things such as teaching them to attack people. Except if they come  from two very aggressive parents (which is not frequent except in some stories of stupid owners who made on purpose to breed agressive dogs for fights or stuff) every dog, if properly trained and exercised as the potential to be gentle!  Your dog really gives you back what you give him!

Congratulations to have raised such a lovely creature!

He is gorgeous and I prefer the tail in tact. I wholeheartedly agree with you and Anne-Marie.
