Surprise Recital

Hello everyone, hope you all are keeping up.
It was about a month ago that my teacher told me that she was going to Vail on a vacation for 3 weeks. I thought secretly "phew, good to have a small break..." She made sure i understood that i was to practice LOTS AND LOTS even though she was going to be away. I agreed, and of course I more of less did that. I practiced maybe 2 and half weeks instead of all the time, and luckily didn't let my playing slip at all. The thing is, without a lesson time set, its hard for me to keep fully focused on what I'm supposed to work on and not just play around on the violin (WHICH IS FUN)!
Your probably thinking: ok you had a good lesson so what? well, little did I know my teacher had planned to have a recital a week later! So that left me with 8 days to stay serious. For the last week I have been working lots everyday all day (mostly) and I think I'm pretty prepared for my concert tommorow night. Even though I didn't have much time to prepare, I was still bombarded with a nice little variety of pieces that I am to perform. Among them are Wieniawski caprices for 2 violins numbers 2 and 7, Corrente from b minor bach, and paganini caprice 10.
I hope all the hard work I put in will eventually pay off.

That's quite a repertoire you're going to perform. I'm sure your hard work will pay off and you'll do fine. Let us know how it goes.

Your teacher must have a lot of confidence in you! Otherwise it's hardly fair. Good luck.

Just performed ! my bach was good, and paganini was decent. my arms starting to stiffen up a little bit on the pags. but then again. ITS PAGANINI
