Violin Bridge Height/Dimensions

I replaced the bridge of my violin with a free size bridge; it was shaped to adjust my violin but turned out to be extra in height. It was then readjusted but since then my bow is always touching other strings. I know it depends on how low the arch is on the bridge where the E string rest. So I was just wondering about the dimension.

What’s the actual height (in mm) of the violin bridge? (If taken from where the G string is placed)If taken from where the E string is placed?

What’s the actual thickness of the bridge? If it differs what’s the approximate thickness it should be (from --mm to--mm)

The upper part of the bridge must be adjusted so that you will not touch the other strings with the bow.

The E string is lower than the G string.

I do this by eye. Some players will prefer the strings in the high side, others the oposite. Agressive players will prefer them on the high side.

Take your violin to your luthier.
