That's how it began

October 25, 2012 at 4:29 PM

That's how it began.

That day I was sleeping, and at one point the dream started. I heard a melody, a violin solo melody, beautiful and intense. I didn't know where it came from until I realized that I was me. ¡I was playing! I never had a violin near me and now I knew to play it. And I played easily, perfectly, with no doubts, no mistakes. I felt a perfect happiness, a bliss, an immense joy. And It was the sound of my soul. How much time? I don't remember, may be one hour, may be five minutes.

Then, I woke up. For a few seconds I still thought I knew to play.
But, no.
It was not real, and I never would feel again that immense joy .

Next morning, talking with my girlfriend, Pilar:

- Me: emmm, I want a violin.

- Pilar: what?

- Me: a violin.

- Pilar: A violin? for what?

- Me: to make an sculpture… I wanna play! what else?

- Pilar: Are you crazy? you are 26 years old, don't you know?

- Me: yes, I remember that date…

- Pilar: "An old parrot can not learn to speak" (this is a stupid spanish saying).

- Me: That's only a stupid spanish saying! (I told you). By the way, my birthday is next week

- Pilar: So?

- Me: it would be a great present, ehem...

- Pilar: Forget it.

- Me: Please! I need it! you don't know how I need it! I have no enough money!

- Pilar: yeahhhh, of course, everybody needs a violin…

- Me: ohh, please!

- Pilar: It's absurd, you'll leave in a month. NO.

Next week she gave me a violin, and I coudn't believe it

- Pilar: Find a teacher. Now. And please, practice away from me.

And I did it.

And sometimes, some days, I am close to feel the same emotion that I dreamed. And thats the most important thing to me, I know where I'm going. I know exactly when I am playing well, because, at that moment, I remember that night, that dream, I come back to those sensations, to that perfect moment.
