today is the day

finally i'm going to my new private lessons tonight. I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'm so hoping that I start playing more fun things too. btw, the "All for Strings" books are incredibly boring! That's what we used in the orchestra class, and sheesh!

I'm glad you get to take lessons!

AFS is sort of boring, but try to make the best of it. I started with that, and though I changed to Suzuki, I think it was relatively good for me. See what you can do with it.

I found the entry level violin books were as boring as the entry level guitar books from my youth. Think I even posted on this site asking for suggestions on beginner level pieces to work on that weren't teeth gnashing boring.

Grats on the lesson. With luck (aka hard work) you'll probably tear through the entry level stuff quickly and get into the more interesting pieces soon enough.
