Just a quick entry, as I'm kinda in a rush. I've just been offered a job teaching violin and I start tonight - i'll be leaving in 15 mins.

Man, I'm so pumped for this, and it's come at such an opportune moment. I've been looking for a job, to help suppliment my night fill job, and this one pops up. I was recommended by a girl from uni, who also teaches there. She feels that it's such a good job that it should go to someone she knows.

Man, I'm so looking forward to this. I best go have something to eat. Talk soon!

No, I'm in the WAYMA Philharmonic (as it's now known). I won't be in the orchestra on the 5th (although I would very much like to be), though I might see if i can get tickets and be there.

it will be a great concert i reckon, and better grab tix fast!! i heard it's going to be big...180 players at the same time...but i thought WAYMA philharmonic is the same as WAYO...confusing.

The Western Australian Youth Music Organisation (WAYMA) has a number of Ensembles:
Western Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO, formely known as Senior WAYO) is a full orchestra and is the top level orchestra.
Then there's Philharmonic, which again is a full orchestra, and Symphonic Band, which is a concert band. These ensembles are about the same level.

Then there are two string ensemble/orchestras. Collegium, which is for students around grades 4-5, and Sinfonietta, which is for students around grades 2-3.

WAYMA have just added two new choirs this year, the WA Childrens Choir, and the WA Youth Chorale.

I shall also be putting the idea to them to create a youth CHamber Orchestra, because I like chamber orchestras
