I am a guitar maker and work full time repairing stringed instruments during the day. I do not play the violin but am in the process of learning violin repair -- something that I've learned is not all that uncommon among luthiers. I love the simplicity of the violin design, the ability to completely dismantle it, and thoroughly enjoy the work. I'm careful not to exceed my abilities on valuable instruments. Luckily there are multitudes of Chinesse and mid-range instruments to practice my skills for the more challenging repairs. Violinists are my clients and I'm pleased to meet you. I have the greatest job ever.
