I was given my grandfathers violin 5 years ago. I am mostly self taught, but was able to take 6 months of lessons which has helped me tremendously. I wasn't able to continue lessons due to a recent move. I love the vioin. I practice a lot and am serious about working hard to do my best.... even though I wasn't able to start learning at the usual young age.
