My approach to teaching violin (and viola) is very practical. When a student learns the violin, it is important that the teacher clearly explains (and, if needed, demonstrates) how to practice at home. This results in productive practicing. Students are encouraged to have a relaxed and balanced posture while playing. This avoids unnecessary tension that can lead to injuries. I maintain a positive, non-judgmental attitude during lessons. If needed, I am able to prepare students for NYSSMA, All-County, performances, college auditions and other similar situations.
I am able to travel to students' homes in Queens, Manhattan, Brooklyn, and the Bronx (7 days a week), as well as in western Nassau county (weekends only). My home in Bayside is also available for lessons; lessons at my home are at a reduced fee.
