I write historical fiction on musical subjects. My most recent book is Liszt's Kiss, about a young female pianist in Paris during the 1832 cholera epidemic (Simon & Schuster, April, 2007). My first book was Emilie's Voice, about a young singer mixed up in intrigues at the court of Louis XIV.
I'm currently working on a book that includes a violinist. I have a PhD in music history, but never studied the violin. I'm hoping this list will be able to answer some of my questions occasionally.
