I'm a recent transplant to New York (from Philly - still home to me), public interest lawyer, and lover of (almost) all music. I studied classical violin for about 10 years as a child/young adult. I gave up lessons in college, but futzed around in some experimental bands playing electric fiddle for a few years. Apparently I have little natural rhythm, but I did have lots of fun!

A few months ago I got the urge to improve my technique, retrieved my acoustic violin from mothballs and began to take lessons. Re-learning (and unlearning old bad habits) as an adult is amazing ... I love to practice and have much more curiosity about the whole process than I did way back when. Hopefully my neighbors appreciate this renewed passion!
