Rebecca Yeh

I am a junior pharmacy student at the Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio where I also study violin with Dr. MJ Sunny Zank. I formerly studied with Sally O'Reilly(U of Minnesota) and Steven Copes(St. Paul Chamber Orchestra). I have performed at many weddings, funerals, sporting events and regularly with my church worship team.

I have been selected as a solo concerto performance winner with several professional orchestras. Honors have included concertmaster of the Minnesota All-State High School Orchestra as a freshman, MTNA National Strings Finalist, Minnesota Public Radio Varsity Classic Finalist, and Minnesota Orchestra YPSCA award winner as top violinist. My current repertoire are Vieuxtemps' 5th Violin Concerto, Bach Sonata I, and Paganini's 13th and 5th caprices. I have played at master classes for Charles Castleman, Stephen Shipps, Almita Vamos, Yair Kless, John Gilbert, Lenora-Marya Anop and Lucia May.

I am currently the reigning Miss Minnesota 2013 and will compete at the Miss America Scholarship Pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey in September, 2013. At the Miss Minnesota Scholarship Pageant, I performed an excerpt of Wieniawski's Scherzo Tarantelle.
