Leo Zisman

I am a filmmaker, a member of Directors Guild of America since 1981. I work as a 1st Assistant Director in film and TV.
As a child in Moscow, Russia I studied violin with very good teachers for 7 years and then... gave it up. My son Oscar, who is 17 now started playing trombone in school 7 years ago and made good progress - he became a member of Buddy Colette's Jazz America youth band,plays chamber music too. My desire to play was revived and I have been practicing every day now for almost a year. I enjoy playing jazz standards very much and sometimes sit in with my son's big band (Joe Vento is the leader)at a Northridge Restaurant.
