I am an amatuer player , self taught after I inheritedmy Moms violin when I was 50 years old. I now make my own instruments being obbsessedw ith how early Canadian pioneers would have made them here with local wood and simple tools. This facinates me personally. I often give demos at the local museum of n how it is done and have enven been on TV Cable at their requestspeaking on the subject. I love best old gospel hyms and old time country songs. I have learned sme fiddle tunes so i canjam iwth my frends but my heart is in the old style hymns. I am just an average player and probably shall always be although I try and practice every single day if possible. I once got to play two old violins in the market square in Gouda Holland which was a big deal to me.
