Megan Driscoll

I'm a very keen amateur violinist (and sometimes lawyer) living in Brisbane, Australia. I started playing violin aged 3 thanks to a piano-teacher mother and keen hobbyist father and learnt all through school, before choosing law over music... goodness knows why. Since then, I have continued playing in amateur and semi-professional orchestras throughout my university years and beyond and am now pleased to be co-leading the Brisbane Symphony Orchestra. Apart from my BSO involvement, I do the odd "gig" (weddings, scratch orchestras and the like) and love my music playing. I currently own and play a modern instrument made in 2008 by Rainer Beilharz which is challenging me (in a good way). Have been lurking on violinist.com for a while and have finally decided to come out of the closet. Look forward to "meeting" you all!
