Retired orchestral violinist, now homeless, loses everything in fire (including violin)

January 18, 2016, 8:08 PM ·
Portland's ABC news affiliate, KATU, has posted a story about a classically trained violinist who lost his car, violin, twenty years of music compositions, and all of his other worldly possessions in a car fire yesterday.

Here is a picture of him holding his burned violin.

The article cites a neighbor who says that he had previously played with the Minneapolis and Oregon Symphonies.

The man's name has not been made public, and there is no information yet whether a fund has been set up for him.
