April 18, 2004 at 09:12 PM · Funny, I just saw the name yesterday...who is he/she? Gil's sister, or unrelated?

April 18, 2004 at 11:22 PM · unrelated i believe, an isreali violinist if i recall correctly, ive never heard him. Gil does have a sister, who plays piano, just to confuse things a little.

April 19, 2004 at 12:03 AM · I heard him play the Beethoven concerto about ten years ago. I was totally unimpressed and found his intonation to be awful. I was also 12 and hardly liked any violin playing except Heifetz at the time, so I wouldn't take that too seriously!

April 19, 2004 at 05:37 AM · I think it's Gil's brother? (cuz Gil's sister is named Orly/Orli I forgot how to spell it)

April 19, 2004 at 06:33 AM · They are NOT related.

April 19, 2004 at 11:52 AM · They're not related. I saw Hagai on TV the other day and his playing was phenomenal! I did find that he always seemed to be in a bit of a hurry though, even on the slow passages. His playing always had this underlying agitatedness...otherwise it was GREAT!

May 2, 2004 at 06:22 AM · his Hubay concertos rocked

May 4, 2004 at 02:06 AM · Yea, Gil's brother is named Shai and his sister is Orli.

Shai and Hagai sound the same! Who couldn't get confused? HEY! Shai and Hagai rhyme!! :D

July 2, 2004 at 01:27 AM · wonderful violinist

July 2, 2004 at 02:15 AM · I heard a cd of his at barnes and noble.........it sounded like he had a great tone.

July 3, 2004 at 01:14 PM · He doesn't have any relation with Gil shaham .He is an israeli violonist . I heard him play in recital in Keshet Eilon , Israel.I heard him play Bloch baal shem. He is really a good musician and brilliant violinst, even if it's true that he is a bit agitated-he moves a lot-anyway not like vengerov!!!

July 9, 2004 at 11:40 AM · he is one of the best players of our time, no doubt. have you listened the new cd scenes of sarda? it´s a must. the quality of his sound is unusual, now he play with a diferent violin.

even better...

July 12, 2004 at 05:30 AM · As far as Shaham is in the last name, I stop a Gil.
