Musical Symbols and Bow Distribution

October 5, 2018, 12:07 PM · As a beginner (60+)violinist I would like a logical, easily read symbol on which portion of the bow I should be on for each note. Such as: bottom third, top third, and middle third. At the moment I am simply writing it out. But I just know that there must be a better way. What symbols do you use? Thanks for any and all brainstorming ideas.
