2023 Montreal International Music Competition-Violin Announces Six Finalists
Late Sunday the Concours musical international de Montréal (Montreal International Music Competition) announced six finalists for its 2023 Violin Edition.

The finalists are:
- SongHa Choi, 23, of South Korea
- SooBeen Lee, 22, of South Korea
- Nathan Meltzer, 22, of the United States
- Michael Shaham, 19, of Israel
- Dmytro Udovychenko, 23, of Ukraine
- Ruslan Talas, 24, of Kazakhstan
The final found will take place Wednesday and Thursday, when each finalist will perform a complete concerto of their choice with the Orchestre symphonique de Montréal and guest conductor, Rafael Payare, at the Maison symphonique. The award winners will be announced following the last performances on Thursday.

The jury for the 2023 Violin edition includes Richard Rodzinski (chairman), Koichiro Harada (Japan), Yura Lee (Korea/USA), Malcolm Lowe (Canada), Mihaela Martin(Romania), Lucie Robert (Canada), Dmitry Sitkovetsky (United Kingdom/USA) and Krishna Thiagarajan (Germany/USA).
