16 Semi-Finalists announced in 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS – Sixteen violinists were named as semi-finalists in the 2022 International Violin Competition of Indianapolis (IVCI) on Wednesday, after four days of preliminary rounds, in which each of 39 participants performed a 45-minute recital of masterworks by J. S. Bach, Paganini or Ernst, Mozart or Schubert, plus a work from the encore repertoire.

Here are the semi-finalists:
- Joshua Brown, 22, of the United States
- I-hao Cheng, 23, of Taiwan
- SooBeen Lee, 21, of South Korea
- Isabelle Durrenberger, 23, of the United States
- KayCee Galano, 21, of the Philippines
- Sirena Huang, 28, of the United States
- Anna Im, 24, of South Korea
- Yiliang Jiang, 26, of China
- Haram Kim, 24, of South Korea
- Yoojin Lee, 23, of South Korea
- Nathan Meltzer, 22, of the United States
- Audrey Park, 19, of the United States
- Julian Rhee, 22, of the United States
- Claire Wells, 21, of United States
- Victoria Wong, 24, of Australia
- Minami Yoshida, 24, of Japan
The Semi-Final rounds begin at 1:30 p.m. Friday. Click here to watch archived performances of the Preliminaries, as well as the schedule for and livestream of the Semi-Finals, which will take place Friday through Monday with two sessions each day, one at 1:30 p.m. and another at 7:30 p.m. ET.
