Does Perlman intentionally play Paganini 18 out of tune?

February 26, 2026, 8:11 PM · Has anyone noticed that in Itzhak Perlman's recording of Paganini 24 Caprices he plays the beginning and end of No. 18 out of tune? I know that it is sul G, but I still think that he could have played it in tune if he had wanted to. The other recordings have it in tune. Do you think that maybe it is intentional? Does anyone have any ideas on the subject?
