Bernard Ouchard

January 11, 2026, 1:16 AM · I recently became acquainted with the bows of Bernard Ouchard and was wondering what folks thought about his work. It is clear he comes from a distinguished lineage and taught so many the art of bowmaking. What is not clear is how people feel about his work. Anyone own a Bernard Ouchard bow or have information on the value/playing ability of his bows compared to what else is out there?

I had one once of his that I wound up trading for something that went better with my violin, but if you like what you see it is probably very good.
