Franklin quartet scordatura

Edited: December 31, 2025, 9:21 AM · I will be playing the Ben Franklin quartet with original scordatura tuning where everyone plays only open strings. I am Violin 1 which unfortunately has the most extreme tuning. G tuned up a 4th to C, D tuned up a 4th to G, A tuned up a 3rd to C, and E tuned up a half-step to F. I'm using my backup violin for this. I've tried it about 3 times, and it works, but the violin is clearly not happy with it and keeps going flat and I'm constantly retuning. I also learned that I need to tune back down after the rehearsal, as I did find a broken string after the first time when I left it tuned up.

I read that it might be better to use low-tension strings, so I bought a set of Dominant weich (which I haven't put on yet), but then I also heard it was better to use older stretched-out strings.
Any advice?

I failed to post the image inline but here is a screenshot of the tuning:
