September 30, 2025, 6:14 PM · I have two interesting CDs that I'll send to whoever requests them first (shipping to the US, please).

1. William Preucil's "Orchestral Excerpts for the Violin with Spoken Commentary." (Summit records). This recording would be great for anyone starting to study orchestral excerpts for an audition. Works include:
Don Juan, bartered Bride, Mozart 39,Beethoven 3/9, Midsommer night's dream, Brahms 2, Schumann 2.

2. Eugene Ysaye Complete Recordings (Sony Classical). A great collection of historic recordings. Ysaye plays two of his own works (Mazurka in B minor and Reve d'enfant); the rest are by other composers. So sorry, no solo sonatas...
