The baerenreiter bwv 1001-1012 are value for money; but, in agreement with Paul, once there's more than one part, one has to treat them very carefully, on grounds of price, and the paper doesn't tolerate a lot of erasing.
The Vivaldi Four Seasons baerenreiter is an odd collation of the two traditions, but they've been edited to Hell and back elsewhere, so they are probably best left well alone, unless one rational edition is still possible. I guess not - that would involve choice, and any violinist capable of playing them can make their own choices from the baerenreiter.
Currently, as far as I know, Prokofiev 2 only exists, for US players anyway, in the Boosey & Hawkes edition, which seems to have been anonymously edited. A useful modern set of fingerings and bowings would be nice.
Most showpieces don't have scholarly urtext editions with modern fingerings and bowings. There's a ton of stuff for which there's neither a Henle nor a Barenreiter.
Also, Henle and Barenreiter have extensive print libraries where there's no digital edition yet. For those of us who are entirely dependent on our tablets now, that means lots of annoying scanning.
I don't really object to the cost of sheet music, personally, but I remember my parents complaining about it a lot when I was a kid. I am much more likely to buy digital music speculatively when it's relatively cheap, though -- I've picked up Bruce's various editions, for instance, even though I have no immediate need.

But seriously, every Barenreiter or Henle edition is expensive. They also are printed on really nice paper, they're bound well, and so forth. So there's kind of a trade-off.
If you're wondering what you should edit and publish next, I think that if you are functioning "in the tradition of Galamian" then you just do them all.
And why only concertos?
