Bel Suono shoulder rest

January 7, 2005 at 03:59 AM · Does anyone use Bel Suono shoulder rest? Is it any good? After having injured my shoulder and neck using Kun, I am looking for a better-fit shoulder rest. I have tried Bonmusica; it's OK but a bit too heavy. Bel Suono, from what little info I have, looks promising. Any feedback will be appreciated !

February 22, 2005 at 11:00 PM · I am currently using the bonmusica shoulder rest, I find it ok. I like that it's sturdy but it is restricting and I may want to try the bel suono 3D shoulder rest as well. I can see why you want some feedback on it because it is pricy. I went to their website and it looks quite unique and looks like it would have wonderous capability. The detachable shoulder rest that connects to the chin rest seems like a great idea but I wonder how long something like that would last, it could break, but that's just my opinion. On the site they say that they are confident with their product being released so I can't be sure. Unfortunately I would love feedback on it too and I cannot provide that for you. If you ever do end up trying it try emailing me and letting me know how it goes. I would love to find out. Thanks.

February 23, 2005 at 03:27 AM · Edgar, could you, please, post the website where I can see Bel Suono SR? And Kumiko, you really think that Kun caused your injuries in the shoulder and neck? If yes, it happened because of what: heights of SR legs, shape, left side of SR, right side, or you couldn't adjust it for yourself in general? Sorry for this question and don't answer if you don't want to, but it is important for me because probably I faced this problem too...

February 24, 2005 at 08:11 AM · I guess your problem comes from chin-rest. you better try many chin-rest first. Have you tried already?

February 24, 2005 at 09:18 AM · I'd like to see the website as well. Quinn Violins sells a Bel Suono Standard for US$140 and a Bel Suono 3D for US$160! That's a downright incredible price to pay for a shoulder rest! Pity I can't find a picture of it for now.

July 16, 2008 at 02:01 PM · I've been using the Bel Suono 3D for over a year now. So far I like it, but I worry about the possible damage it could do to my violin. Has anyone experienced problems with these shoulder rests?
