Any good violin concertos or showpieces composed after 1960? I can't think of any besides Glass Violin Concerto, Ligeti, Black-Eyed Suzy by Donald Grantham, and The Cowboy and the Rattlesnake by Dan Welcher.
Thinking about Hahn, there is also the Jennifer Higden concerto.
Corigliano Red Violin caprices are great.

Butterfly Lovers Concerto is 1959 but you should still check it out - because of the Chinese influence it's pretty unique!
Night Music by Ned Rorem, 1972. Some beautiful movements, though I would not call it a showpiece.
the 2nd DSCH concerto is from 1967. The violin - piano sonata is from 1968.
It depends on what you need, but Piazzolla's Etudes for solo flute or violin can be effective. I do not know if they were written post-1960.
Miklos Rosza has an excellent solo Violin Sonata from the late 60s. Not a showpiece, to most tastes, but well worth a look.
Subito, by Witold Lutoslawski is an effective showpiece. It's from the 1990's.
Some contemporary composer could sell a lot of sheet music writing an accessible, virtuosic work specifically for these audition requirements. :-)
Gorecki, Notturno for violin and orchestra.
Joan Tower, violin concerto, 1991
Mason Bates, Violin concerto, 2012
David Diamond, Violin concerto #3, 1976.
Google any major composer and It's likely you'll get a violin something.
I have written a really nice Romance for Violin and Orchestra
(You can find it on youtube -Sylvan Moir, Romance - will get it.
It is well played there by the soloist, but the orchestra needed a lot of work . If you want to try it , tell me and I can send you my email or something.
