Violin String Review and that company is the one that I am most confused with. I seem to find conflicting images, and I have yet to receive a message back from the company.
What are the colors for Corelli strings. I am redoing the String I.D. page with new images onThis is what the new strings will look like. I hope to have it up by 2014. If there are any that look off please let me know so I can fix it.
For Corelli Crystal, the viola string looks like the one you have posted, but the violin version is white with a black spiral, like the Kaplan non whistling E string.
The Hill Heavy E is blue at both the ball and the peg ends.
There is no Infeld Red/Blue for viola, so you could omit the C string.
You might also want to put the peg rings for the various types of Vision strings - black for Titanium Solo, brown for Solo, turquoise/green for Titanium Orchestra etc. More details can be found here: http://www.thomastik-infeld.com/upload/TI_violin%20folder%2005_07print.pdf
You have misspelt Superflexible in the Thomastik range (you wrote Superflexable).
Otherwise this site is very informative and helpful! Did you ever plan on adding the colours of the E strings at the ball/loop end for the various D'Addario/Pirastro/Larsen strings? Often they are different (they will take one colour from the spiral wrapping).
Thank you. I will get those updated. Super-Sensitive just wrote me back. I was thinking about omitting the e string since most are just one of the two colors of the spiral and adding each E string would be a ton of extra strings. For the update I'm planning on making a note of that at the top, as well as how the "peg rings" work.
Thank you. I had black and white for Corelli but was told its pink. The violin/viola difference is helpful.
Are sure there's a violin/viola difference for the Crystals? I think they look exactly the same at the tailpiece end.
Andrew: when you say they look the same, do they look Black/White, or Black/Pink?
Both look pale pink with black spiral to me...
I've used both and I'd say that the viola is pink/black, while violin is white/black. For violin colours see this: http://www.rdebey.com/string_colors.htm
It also strikes me that the E string on the heavy Crystal set is purple at each end, not blue. (The medium set has a blue E.)
Well. I will be keeping it as black and white for now. Hopefully I will hear from Corelli directly soon. I have updated the site. I feel that the images look very small/hard to read. Until I am able to figure out how to fix this without looking to cluttered I have accented the PDF where you can download a very readable PDF.
Thank you for everyones help.
