Bach Double Violin concerto with Violins 1 &2 score on same page

October 29, 2013 at 07:07 PM · I am practicing Bach Double Concerto in D minor (Ivan Galamian edition) . I play violin 2. I am an intermediate player. It would help me greatly if I had the sheet music showing violin 1 and 2 so that I do not miss my entrance at critical points. Also, it will help me with the expression vs. violin 1. I searched the Internet and did not find anything. Does anyone know if this is available?

Thank you.

It's available (in several editions) as a free download from IMSLP.

(Oddly, it's easier to memorize too, that way--for me, at least.)

October 31, 2013 at 06:46 PM · Print the score at TheBookPatch.com and have it spiral bound. Very inexpensive, and it will be very easy to turn all those pages.

3 PDF files I prepared with Sibelius 6. The notes are rather small, but the pages can be turned (quickly!) by one or other violinist.

Many moons ago, I had done this by photocopying the piano score, and-cut-and-copying the solo staves with scissors and glue!

Glad to help!

November 5, 2013 at 07:47 AM · Adrian, I just downloaded them. Thank you so much!
