Once again, Marin Alsop, Director of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra is giving Rusty Musicians a chance to play with the BSO. For details see her invitation The performance is on Sept. 21, 2010, so you'd better get your application in ASAP if you're interested. The program consists of Brahms's Academic Festival Overture and the Finale of Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. Several v.commies participated in the first Rusty Musicians Concert, and you can read their comments on discussion 1, discussion 2, and a blog by Laurie Niles.
Ann Marie and I are signed up for the 9/21/10 BSO Rusty Musicians gig. Anyone else from v.com? We both played Tchaikovsky's 4th and Elgar Nimrod last time and had a great time.
Pauline - for some reason the links in your message didn't work so I'll try re-posting them here. www.violinist.com/discussion/response.cfm
Jack Shepard has started a discussion thread on the same topic. See www.violinist.com/discussion/response.cfm . Does anyone know whether/how we can combine these two threads?
John, thanks for fixing the links.

I'd like to hear from people who participated in the first Rusty Musicians concert. Did you enjoy it? Will you do it again? Do you recommend it for others?
